Alex Barr

Head of Private Equity Investments, Aberdeen Private Equity Fund, Aberdeen Asset Management:

Alex joined Aberdeen in 2005, on the acquisition of the substantive part of Deutsche Asset Management (DeAM), formerly Morgan Grenfell Asset Management, whom he joined in 1998. He has managed Multi-Asset mandates since joining Morgan Grenfell in 1998, and helped develop DeAM's highly succesful Global Equity product. Previously, Alex worked for Henderson Global Investors' on their US equity desk. Prior to that, he worked for Templeton Investment Management as a Portfolio Accountant. Alex graduated with an MA in Economics and Accountancy from Aberdeen University and is an Associate of the Chartered Institute of Securities and Investment.
